Maharlika Martial Arts Class: March 4, 2014

Tonight, we started with warming up with some transitional drills. Everyone did what they knew up to. Next, we trained some low-light drilling. Guro Joey M. showed us how we could utilize a flashlight in 3 of 9 drill. This worked really well even when you knew the drill. As the Receiver, it was still hard to correctly tap when you felt like you're blinded for that few seconds. Nice class tonight!

Receiver grips

Exercise: had them stand back to back, then feeder decides three attacks (from 3 of 9). Receiver tries to correctly cross tap each attack.
Free flow: I fed both with simple linear attacks to see if they could get a receiver grip. One point that I mentioned was to make sure to tap before trying to grab.
